Childhood

Growing up in a nurturing and artistically rich environment, Nathan was profoundly influenced by his parents, family, and close friends. His mother, Deborah A. Burrows, a vice principal, teacher, and former Miss Bahamas contestant, instilled in him the values of knowledge, perseverance, and optimism. His father, Charles M. Burrows I, a music minister turned beekeeper, fostered Nathan’s love for music, nature, and resourcefulness. These early influences cultivated Nathan’s deep appreciation for education, the arts, and island life.

Crohn's Disease

At age 12, Nathan was faced with a life-long battle with Crohn’s Disease, a challenge that marked a significant turning point in his life. Determined to rise above victimization, fear, and defeat, Nathan embraced a life of peace, joy, and love. This transformative journey shaped his life’s purpose: to achieve greater levels of personal wellness, freedom and fulfillment and help others to do the same.

Social Dance

After accumulating seven years of experience in training, teaching, performing, and competing in various social dance styles, Nathan founded NJB Social Dance in January 2016.
